Things I'm benefiting from right now

Two of the things I mentioned in the subject line are products and one is a practice. I'll keep this short and sweet because I am two weeks into my reset of cognitive rest (I have committed to dedicating 2 hours of nothing each day), so I can't spend too much time on the computer.

1. One of my favorite products that's helping me diminish the scar I have on my forehead from my most recent concussion is Beautycounter's Overnight Resurfacing Peel. It's been in my weekly regimen for a while now because it also helps to even skin tone and textire, but I'm using it three times a week with a focus directly over the scar itself, which is really helping to diminish the scar's appearance. It's FREE in a travel size right now if you spend $125. (If you'd prefer, you can also choose a travel size of the Countertime Tetrapeptide Supreme Cream for intense anti-aging and moisture.)

Here are a few Better Beauty math formulas to grab your free gift:

All Bright C Serum (brightens skin and reduces dark spots) + Hand Savior (sanitizer & anti-aging hand serum) + Lip Conditioner (my favorite lip balm ever) = FREE gift!

Flawless in Five (6 products in an easy routine for a full face of clean make-up in 5 minutes!) = FREE gift!

2. I have had a pair of Xero Shoes Women's Phoenix in leather, but I just got myself a pair of the knit ones, and I'm in love. If you're looking for a neutral shoe that gives your foot its natural wiggle room and allows your toes to splay but also looks SUPER cute: this is your new favorite shoe! (The link takes you to Xero Shoes and credits me for your referral, but I don't have a direct link to the shoe itself - search for Women's Phoenix Knit!)

3. The last thing benefiting me right now is my Functional Progression practice. What's interesting is how much I was working out and feeling "fine" since February. While NOT working out, I've come to notice that I actually was getting a headache after even the smallest/shortest bodyweight workouts - I didn't want that to be true because I love to move. And at the time, the workouts felt very minimal (even frustratingly so), but my brain is really taking its time healing and needed even more rest (thanks, Dr. O'Neill, for the gentle reminder).

Functional Progression has been part of my life since Dr. Erica Boland created it in 2014. I was doing similar work beforehand, but her twist on things and the flow of them all together really made a difference in my personal practice and for my patients. I am so grateful for revisiting these movements that are innately patterned in my nervous system - especially now when my body craves movement but my brain itself craves rest in order to heal.

That's it: 2 products and 1 practice that are high on my list and I wanted to share with you. I hope you find them all beneficial as well!

Last note if you're a chiropractor: I'd love to see you next month in Orlando for the Parker Seminar (use LMFL21$50 for a discount when registering!) or at the MPI Pregnancy/Pediatrics course in St. Louis. Otherwise, plan to join Dr. Boland and me in St. Louis in October as we debut our moveMentors: Perinatal Manual Care course!
