Do this to bring calm into your house right now

Hum.

Right now, just start.

Use it as your exhale and don't stop until you've completely expelled all of your air.

Now take a big breath in (diaphragmatic breath, of course - 360 degrees of expansion into your abdomen and no upward movement of your shoulders!) and hum on exhale again.

If you have coworkers (actual workers or your children) nearby, they'll likely ask what you're doing and/or if you're okay. Invite them to join you.

This can change the energy of the room, the energy in your body, and is a tool for downregulating your autonomic nervous system (ANS).

We talk about downregulating your ANS in all of our classes and use the Polyvagal Theory to explain how all of it works.

If you want to sign up for any class, you can use code "HOME" for a discount through April 30. I'm starting a childbirth education class tonight, we have prenatal fitness starting tomorrow, and we have a postpartum rehab course beginning Friday. We also have our ongoing weekly Women's Fitness classes(training based on your cycle). You can use this code for any of those classes.

My office is open and is here to help you if you need us.

How are you doing? (I'm seriously asking. Email me back and let me know.)

Air hugs,

Lindsay

P.S. Here are some simple workplace ergonomics that I just shared.
