Are you okay over there?

How are you?

The knee-jerk reaction response is typically "fine" or "good". But take a moment and actually check in with yourself.

Are you doing all right?

There's a lot going on right now and a lot of uncertainty for a lot of people.

It's okay to not be okay. And I wanted to make sure you knew that.

I'm worried about a lot of things right now, honestly. I'm worried about a lot of my small business owner friends who are closing their doors or having to drastically cut back. There are so many awesome businesses in Raleigh, and I want to help support them, so I'm going to share a few offerings from local businesses for you to check out.

But first: go find your favorite local business and write them a Google, Yelp, or Facebook review. Share them on your social media channels. These are free ways that you can support these businesses right now!

Some local favorites:

First, my own business: we're open. We're helping our pregnant patients feel better during their pregnancy (even eliminating that pregnancy waddle that everyone seems to think is a real thing), helping postpartum families recover, helping babies with latch issues, and helping all of our patients move better and feel better. We can offer telehealth appointments if you're not comfortable leaving the house, and we have all of our prenatal and postpartum classesavailable online!

Coach Jenna and I also have a course on presale for any caregivers to help support them and the children they care for through movement and mindset tools. This is incredibly beneficial right now since many of you are without additional caregivers and are looking for help in maintaining both physical support and gathering tools for more calm.

Some of my favorite local businesses are Juicekeys (now offering delivery to some locations) and Fresh Levant. Both are offering to-go orders and both have an emphasis on community and food quality that I just adore.

You've probably seen that massage therapists and spas were told to close down. My friends at White Dahlia have a great membership program and have set up some really great deals on gift cards to be used in the future!

Have you wanted to try Kundalini yoga because I always talk about how awesome it is? Well, my friend Amanda May is teaching at Blue Lotus, and my friend Aubrey Zinaich is teaching at Global Breath.

Last note: I highly recommend trying something new and taking advantage of deals you can find. I know that for a lot of people, their income is uncertain right now. But keep in mind that just because something is free doesn't mean that it's a good deal. We've chosen to keep our pricing consistent because my coaches are no less valuable when they're teaching virtually. In fact, they might be more valuable because it takes a very skilled eye to find movement dysfunction through a camera lens.

Two more deals for you to check out (which are worth full-price) are 10% off all clean beauty and personal care products at Beautycounter and 15% off all supplements through Wellevate.

That's all for now. Call a friend. Take a breath. Take a walk. Join a friend for coffee on FaceTime. As my friend Laura Bruner says, practice physical distance rather than social distance right now (she told me she got it from Gregg Renfrew, who is the CEO of Beautyconter). That reframe has been so helpful for me. We're still connected, friend.

Lots of love,
Lindsay
